Tonya Roberson, MSW
Hi, I’m Tonya Roberson~
For years I’ve helped people who struggle with making poor choices and can’t figure out why. I’ve helped people who are burnt out, those in bad relationships, those who’ve suffered a loss, and those struggling to parent their kids.
As a clinical social worker, I’m dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities address a wide range of social, emotional, and mental health concerns. I believe in working closely with my clients to create a safe and supportive environment where they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without fear of judgment.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, or any other mental health challenge, I’m here to help you find the strength and resilience you’ll need to overcome these obstacles and live a more fulfilling life. My philosophy is that therapy should be a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions without worry of being criticized or invalidated. My goal is for clients to feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive change in their lives.
I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Barry University. I have experience working with individuals of all ages – young children, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors. I also have special training in trauma-focused therapy and mindfulness-based interventions. I understand that healing from trauma is a deeply personal and sensitive process, and I work hard to build trusting relationships with my clients.
My life experience combined with my educational background help me aid my clients on their journey to healing and improved well-being.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and traveling. It’s a great way to clear my mind and stay active. I’m a wife and proud mother of seven children – yep, you read that right, SEVEN! I have a soft spot for my two yorkies. I’m originally from New Jersey but I grew up in Miami and fell in love with the beautiful beaches. I became a therapist because I wanted to help others overcome the challenges they face and find happiness and fulfillment in their lives.
