Hi, I’m Natalie Torres, MSW~
Life is a journey, and within that journey, there are ups, downs, swerves, and roller-coaster rides! Life can throw curveballs, and at times it can feel dim and colorless. You may feel hopeless about the future and need help seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.” -John Green
Are you struggling with your self-esteem, feelings of sadness, grief, or anxious thoughts? Have you been having a hard time connecting with others and need help navigating your relationship struggles? Do you wonder why parenting your child or teen has been such a battle? Is your life not where you want it to be, and everything just feels so hard? You have taken a courageous step on your healing journey, and I am excited to be a part of it with you. You are worth the investment.
“Vulnerability is not weakness. And that myth is profoundly dangerous.” -Brené Brown
I am passionate about playing a part in your healing journey. I can help shed light on those dim areas of your life that feel lifeless and provide guidance and support along the way. I have a thorough understanding of trauma and its impact, and I can help reduce trauma symptoms while walking with you toward healing. I can help you find meaning, purpose, and connection.
You will find a therapist who is genuine, warm, and compassionate. You’ll experience a nurturing environment where your story and struggles are heard in a non-judgmental way. I’m a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern pursuing my licensure. I earned my Master of Social Work from Florida State University. For the past 15 years, I have worked directly with young children, teens, adults, and families in various capacities, including as a school counselor, in the foster care system, in a diversion program, and in church ministry. I also have experience interning in hospice care, providing grief support and counseling. Additionally, I interned as a clinician with foster and adoptive youth and families, offering individual and family therapy, parenting support, and specialized training in parenting children who have experienced trauma.
I love to read, exercise, devote time to my faith, and vacation in the mountains of Georgia with my family. I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and can provide a faith-based approach if desired. I also love a good laugh—it’s healing for the soul and body.
