Kimberly Yax, MSW
Hi, I’m Kimberly Yax~
Hello! My name is Kimberly Yax, and I am currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. I completed my Master’s in Social Work at the University of Central Florida. My background is deeply rooted in healthcare settings, where I have gathered significant experience and insights.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work as a NICU Social Worker in a hospital setting, where I provided specialized care and support. Additionally, I worked in a pediatric emergency room, focusing on crisis intervention, which honed my skills in handling acute psychological distress in high-pressure environments. Most recently, I served as a Hospice Social Worker, a role that taught me
the importance of empathy and supportive care during critical times.
I am deeply passionate about enhancing the mental health of individuals who seek help. I advocate for integrating mindfulness training and lifestyle modifications alongside evidence-based practices. I believe this approach leads to better outcomes and a heightened sense of well-being for my clients.
In working with me, you will experience a compassionate, understanding, and personalized approach to care. I prioritize building a strong rapport with my clients, as it fosters a safe and open environment that encourages honesty and facilitates healing and growth.
I am bilingual in Spanish and offer sessions in both our Davie and Fort Lauderdale offices, as well as telehealth.
