Hi, I’m Kayla Downey, MS~
Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, struggling to find balance and peace? Is your romantic relationship challenged by stress and communication issues, leaving you feeling distant? Are you a parent worried about your child or teen experiencing big emotions and unsure how to help? No matter what you’re facing, you don’t have to do it alone—I’m here to help.
I help individuals, couples, and families navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship struggles with compassion and clarity. Therapy is a space to slow down, feel understood, and reconnect with yourself and your loved ones. Reaching out takes courage, but you deserve to feel more at peace, and your relationships can thrive when you do.
I’m a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with a master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. I’ve worked with kids, teens, and adults across school settings, substance abuse clinics, and brief therapy environments. My approach blends practical tools with emotional support, tailored to your unique story and goals. I use relationship-based methods that explore how your family and connections have shaped who you are. I value honesty, kindness, and a bit of humor—because while therapy is important work, it can also be a space for hope, growth, and lightness.
I’m a born-and-raised Minnesotan with a love for nature and family. Outside of therapy, I enjoy beach days with my dog Mako, camping in Minnesota, and soaking up time with loved ones.
