Henrika Marshall-Youquoi, MFT
Hi, I’m Henrika Marshall-Youquoi~
Sometimes life can become difficult, and we can find ourselves needing a safe space to work through those difficult thoughts, feelings, and situations. So I ask you, how can I help? I want to provide and create that safe space that allows you to feel comfortable expressing your true emotions. Taking the first steps to a healthier and better mental health can be challenging, but it is a courageous first step to a better and healthier you. If this is your goal, I want to let you know that it is possible.
My approach to therapy is client centered, non-judgmental, and helps you become actively aware of your unique healing process, all while supporting your continual growth.
I want to be able to meet you where you are at this moment and guide you to take the small steps needed to find the best possible you there is. Not only do I want to help your situation but also present you with new skills in identifying healthy ways of coping, communicating, and building better relationships. I was also fortunate to train in faith based counseling and I believe your faith can be a source of strength and help you heal.
I’m a registered Marriage and Family therapist intern. I graduated from Bethel University with a Masters in Marriage and Family therapy. I also have a Ph.D. in Psychology from Walden University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I have experience working with individuals of all ages – including adolescents, young children, teens, and adults. As well as families and couples with a variety of mental health challenges. Whether you are struggling with relationship issues, parenting challenges, communication difficulties, or other concerns, I am here to help. I specialize in a range of areas, including couples therapy, family therapy, premarital counseling, and individual therapy.
I enjoy learning new things, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I am an avid reader and always seeking out new research and techniques to improve my practice. I am a proud mother and wife to my husband and four beautiful children. I would like to become an important person in your life and take the first steps with you on this journey together for a happier you. So, if you are ready to start your journey to healing, how can I help you?
