Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, Florida License #IMH20714
Hi, I’m Karli!
I know that life can sometimes feel like walking in the dark. We know we need to make a change but are not sure how. Motivation and happiness can be fleeting. And sometimes it feels like we’re hanging on by a thread. After all, life doesn’t come with a manual. If there is a change you’d like to make and need someone to listen and provide the support you need to take action, I am here for you.
I’m a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern and earned my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I love my job as a therapist and fostering authentic relationships with others. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I have experience working with those who suffer with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, grief and loss, relationship conflicts, and spirituality concerns. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to reach out for support. You are one step closer to living the life you want to live.
It is important to me that adolescents and young adults have access to high quality mental health care, as I was once an adolescent who could have benefited from therapy. Your teen is forming their unique identity and trying to establish a sense of independence. Problems like depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and changing family dynamics can make their process of becoming their own person feel even more chaotic. I would love to help your adolescent gain insight into the source of their struggle and learn skills to reduce their distress.
Working with adolescents also includes incorporating the family. I want to offer support also to my clients’ families in strengthening communication, fostering compassion for your teen but still giving them room to explore, mess up, and grow. It is my priority to be respectful and culturally sensitive in my work so that no matter how your family looks or who “family” includes, therapy is safe and supportive.
My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I use a person-centered approach, and incorporate mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems interventions into our therapeutic work.
I am here to offer support, guidance, and to hold your joys and pains with you, so you know you are not alone. So if you are ready to get started on changing your life, I’m here for you.
I’m currently accepting new clients, in-person and via telehealth, and have daytime and evening appointments available. Please contact Seasons Psychotherapy Associates directly at 954-342-0982 or [email protected] to set up a free phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you!
