Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (License # IMH22959)
Hi – I’m David!
Offering Telehealth Psychotherapy to anyone located in the state of Florida.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by negative mental health symptoms? Are you overstressed and feeling tired, anxious, depressed, and/or unmotivated? I want you to know, you’re not alone. Life is hard, and I’m here to help you find ways to feel better.
Many people find themselves struggling to not feel so bad all the time. And, when you’re feeling like life is just too hard it can be difficult to know where to turn. As a therapist, my job is to help you work through your life stressors and find a path forward. I understand that it’s difficult to open up and talk about your feelings, I’m here to provide a safe and supportive environment for you to do so. Together, we can work to identify the root causes of your distress and develop strategies to help you cope and move forward.
I’m a therapist with over 6 years of experience in helping people overcome their challenges and reach their goals. I have a warm and compassionate approach to therapy, and I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for my clients.
I believe in the power of collaboration and strive to empower my clients to take an active role in their own healing process. I am passionate about helping people find their inner strength and resilience. I’m committed to providing the highest quality of care to my clients.
I do this by helping you to feel safe and understood. I’ll help you process tough feelings and develop positive coping strategies. I’m dedicated to helping you reach your therapy goals and improve your overall mental health and well-being.
I’m a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. I graduated with my Master’s in Vocational Rehabilitation/Mental Health Counseling from Langston University, an HBCU (historically black college or university) located in the great State of Oklahoma. I’ve worked for the federal government providing vocational rehabilitation services to our nation’s heroes. I’m experienced in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a variety of issues (e.g., depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, complex trauma, marital and family transitions, chronic health struggles, grief and loss, career/academic stress, etc.).
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading (listening to audiobooks), going on long walks, and trying new restaurants. I am originally from Dallas, Texas; however, I grew up in Oklahoma City. I am also a citizen of the federally recognized Cherokee Nation and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
I’m currently accepting new clients and have weekday afternoons and evenings available, plus Saturday appointments. I only see clients through virtual means. We can make a strong, therapeutic connection through the screen, I promise! Please contact Seasons Psychotherapy Associates at 954-342-0982 to set up an appointment. I look forward to hearing from you!
