Hi – I’m Crystal
I love helping people feel better.
Do you have a kid whose personality is changing? Are they hard to talk to and tell you “I’m fine,” even when you know they’re not? Is your own self-esteem at an all-time low? Have you recently broken up with who you thought was the one? Do people say “you’re so bipolar,” when you have trouble controlling your moods? If so, I can help with these issues and many more. I’d like to work together to make positive changes in your life.
I’m a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. I graduated from Capella University with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with kids to young adults who battle PTSD, Trauma, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, EDMR trained and a variety of mental health difficulties. This experience helped me develop more empathy and insight to struggling children and families.
One of the biggest takeaways from that experience was – we’re all just people, each of us doing the best we can with the tools we’ve been given. I appreciate differences in people, but always keep in mind we’re more alike than we’re different. My goal is to help build your toolbox so that you can face life’s challenges feeling empowered and capable to handle whatever comes your way.
It takes courage to pick up that phone and reach out for help. I’m honored that my clients share their stories with me and allow me to be a part of their emotional healing journey. In my sessions, I strive to understand my clients’ perspectives, thoughts, and feelings. There’s no judgment, simply curiosity. When you work with me, you’ll find a safe and comfortable energy in the room. I want you to feel your feelings, process them, and be able to cope more effectively in the future. There’s hope that whatever you’re struggling with right now won’t be so bad forever.
I’m originally from New Jersey, but have lived in South Florida most of my adult life. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, volunteering with animals, and just relaxing while watching a good movie.
