Brenna F Doering, MA

Hi, I’m Brenna — your neurodivergent, Latinx, first generation American, and queer therapist. My pronouns are she/her.

I am really passionate about helping Latinx, neurodivergent, and queer kids, teens, and adults navigate their identities, set boundaries, improve parent/child relationships, and heal their inner child from any childhood and generational trauma. The most important part of therapy is building a strong therapeutic alliance with your therapist. My goal is to guide you through your healing journey, while ensuring you feel safe and comfortable in sharing your story in an inclusive and holistic environment.

I pride myself in meeting my client’s where they are at. That being said, I want to tailor your therapy experience to best fit your needs. Some of the techniques I tend to use are: person-centered, dialectical behavioral therapy, internal family systems, play therapy, mindfulness, art therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. I have helped clients through a variety of personal challenges, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, identity, family/relationship dynamics, and life transitions.

Although born and raised in South Florida, I obtained my Masters of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in school counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After working as a School Counselor for a couple of years in the Broward County Public School System, I decided to begin working towards my LMHC. I am currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the State of Florida and working towards being a Registered Play Therapist.

I really love what I do and can’t wait to meet you. If you think we could be a good fit, reach out! Let’s get started on learning self awareness, self acceptance, and self love to improve your overall well-being.
